Biomass Boiler

Here are some images of Hope Academy's biomass boiler that is used to heat the building. It uses sustainable wood chip which reduces the Academy's carbon footprint.

What is biomass heating?
Biomass heating is the production of heat through the use of organic materials like wood. The heat is produced through a combustion process and is used for heating water or air. (Ecofirst)

Biomass Boilers use Wood Fuel as apposed to Fossil Fuels to produce heat. The wood fuel comes from sustainable sources within the UK. This creates a carbon cycle making the whole process carbon neutral (Evecosolutions)
