Dream Team by Rebecca Hamilton

Rebecca Hamilton, one of the Eco-Committee members, wrote a short piece about how she is supporting local projects to improve the area she lives in.

"I joined the young people's Dream Team for the area I live in. We all went round doing a litter pick wearing protected gloves in case of finding needles and also we used a litter claw which helped to pick up the litter."

"At half time we had some fruit and drink then went back to our litter duties. After doing a few of these litter picks we had a reward to watch a Saints rugby  match donated by Helena Housing. The game was brilliant. My mum used to work with Helena in getting more children on board to join this scheme."

"This scheme was developed in order so children, like myself, can help the environment. They also do trips and fun days as rewards for supporting as you get points each time you help.  I enjoyed this because it's nice to see neighbours who you wouldn't normally speak to get together as one community to make our area a better place to live."

Well done Rebecca for getting involved and making your community a better to place to live.
